Office of Graduate Programs

 

The Office of Graduate Programs (OGP) is designed to assist graduate learners in admittance to, retention, and graduation from the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health at Florida A&M University. The OGP is committed to increasing the enrollment and completion rates of underrepresented minorities in the pharmaceutical sciences and health professions disciplines by:

  • offering pre-application consultations to prospective learners to answer questions about the application process;
  • assisting prospective learners in identifying an appropriate graduate program area based on their academic goals and research interests;
  • advising learners about degree requirements;
  • monitoring and documenting learner’s academic progress;
  • providing verification and documentation of degree completion to the FAMU School of Graduate Studies and Research (SGSR) and Registrar’s Office;
  • working closely with SGSR to seek their assistance in interpreting University graduate policy; and
  • communicating the College and University graduate policies and procedures to CoPPS, IPH faculty, staff, and learners.
