DEVELOPMENT OF DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS

  • Spray drying technology-to increase drug stability, solubility, and permeability using a dual channel spray gun- a proprietary technology. I have used this technology for preparing formulations for Geftinib, DIMs, Betulinic acid, cisplatin, and other compounds.
  • Liposome and nanoparticle formulations-for percutaneous and targeted delivery
  • Lipid-based solid dispersion-to increase drug solubility and stability
  • Passive and active polymeric/lipid-based particulate drug delivery systems
  • Topical drug delivery systems for small molecules and peptides.
  • Surface modified polymeric/lipid-based drug-loaded nanoparticles for brain targeting

We are experts in Analytical and Bio-analytical method development and validation using High Performances Liquid Chromatography.

We have Waters HPLC with auto-sampler and PDI detectors (3 systems)

We have experience in analyzing all matrix samples (Bio-matrix and formulation samples)

We have the following tumor models: “Triple-negative breast cancer, Lung Cancer (orthotopic and metastatic models). We have the expertise and facilities to conduct tumor model studies using athymic nude mice. PDX models are currently being developed.

We also have a psoriatic plaque-like model for conducting psoriasis studies.

We have a UV-B induced chemoprevention model, which has been used for a variety of natural products topically.

We are experts in conducting “in-vivo preclinical pharmacokinetics studies" for different drugs delivery systems/drugs in tumor-bearing mice and rats.

  • We have in-vitro 3D culture models for tumor cells and have used the Algimatrix system.
  • Routinely conduct efflux and permeability study using Caco-2 cells.
  • We also conduct in-vitro cytotoxicity study using different cell lines using MTT assay.

We are experts in bio-conjugation, polymer modification, and fabrication with biomolecules, polymeric nanoparticle synthesis—synthetic strategies involving the development of stimuli-responsive polymeric biomaterials.

3D PRINTING 

We are experts in the 3D printing space and we have designed, formulated and printed various three dimensional structures for multiple applications. We are currently working ahead of the industry in the fabrication of 3D printed micro-needles for transdermal drug delivery. We were successful in 3D printing the human cornea with favorable mechanical properties.
