Tallahassee, Fla. - At the FAMU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health (CoPPS,IPH), two of our outstanding learners, Jocelyn “Jay” Coleman (left in red shirt) and Jeremy Cooper (right in white shirt) have been accepted into the prestigious National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Foundation-UAMS Pharmacy Ownership and Leadership Academy (POLA). The highly competitive summer program is designed to prepare the next generation of pharmacy leaders and owners through specialized training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
FAMU CoPPS, IPH congratulates Jay Coleman and Jeremy Cooper on their accomplishment and acceptance into the significant Academy. They were selected from a competitive pool of 87 applicants representing 41 universities.
It is important to extend our gratitude to Marvin Scott, PharmD, FAMU CoPPS, IPH Associate Dean of Student Affairs, for his contribution to the recruitment process. Seth Heldenbrand, PharmD, Associate Dean of Experiential Education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, shared, “...let me personally thank you (Dr. Scott) for assisting in the recruitment process.” FAMU CoPPS, IPH appreciates Dr. Scott’s dedication to our learners’ success.
