Congratulations to three talented Class of 2023 FAMU CoPPS, IPH PharmD candidates. Brittany Lomax, Deashia Crayton, and Taliah Qaiyim have been selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants to participate in the Pfizer Global Regulatory Affairs Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Program.
The GRA APPE Program is a focused and direct approach to increasing the representation of black colleagues within the regulatory science profession and strengthening the diversity of the future Pfizer talent pipeline. This program allows talented rising 4th-year pharmacy learners to be integrated into cross-functional Pfizer teams. These teams help learners further understand the regulatory affairs profession, the many variables associated with gaining health authority product approval, and most importantly, fulfilling unmet needs to improve patient outcomes. Saima Khan, Pfizer GRA Internal Medicine Head, states, “Partnering with a reputable Historically Black College such as Florida A&M University aligns perfectly with Pfizer’s vision to provide opportunities to exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds.”
