Miss Edwina Fleuridor is poised to reign as Miss FAMU 2025-2026

Tallahassee, FL - Miss Edwina Fleuridor, a Junior Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) scholar in the FAMU CoPPS, IPH was elected as the 2025-2026 Miss Florida A&M University (FAMU) Elect, during the Spring 2025 semester. Born on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, Edwina is from West Orlando, Florida. She is the daughter of Eddy and Clermelia Fleuridor, and is a first-generation Haitian-American. A graduate of Ocoee High School (Knight Nation), a public school in Orange County, Florida, she began her FAMU journey in Fall 2020 as a trailblazing college student. She plans to pursue a career in pharmaceutical sales upon graduation.

One of her mentors, FAMU CoPPS, IPH Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, Director, Offices of Undergraduate Research and the BSPS Degree Program, Dr. Tiffany W. Ardley, spoke highly of Edwina, a third year BSPS student: “Edwina is one of our top scholars in our program. She has proven that tenacity will help your dreams come true. She definitely has a bright future ahead of her. We are beaming with pride, and we know that she will represent the BSPS program, CoPPS, IPH and Rattler Nation well.” Interim Dean and Professor | Eminent Scholar in Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Seth Y. Ablordeppey enthusiastically chimed in: “We do it all including not only representing the CoPPS, IPH well, but the entire FAMUly!! Congratulations and well-done Edwina!!!”

Outside of the classroom, Edwina dedicates her time to her on-campus organizations, community volunteerism, and her entrepreneurship. On campus, she is a member of SISTUHS, Incorporated, The FAMU Chapter of National Sales Network, Haitian Cultural Club, and previously served as Miss Omega Psi Phi for the 2022-2023 academic year. She regularly volunteers with FAMU Developmental Research School (DRS) and Fairview Middle School as a mentor, and since her time at FAMU she has completed over 2,000 hours of community service by dedicating her time to various non-profit organizations and groups around Tallahassee. She also started her own hair and makeup business, Touched by Edwina.

As the 2025-2026 Miss FAMU Elect, Edwina wants to institute a platform focused on giving back to the student body, promoting the greatness of the FAMU experience, and inspiring her peers to serve through various service opportunities. In coordination with learners, faculty, staff, and alumni, Edwina hopes to establish an on-campus Community Campus Closet, which would be accessible to students in need of clothing for everyday wear, professional events and interviews, or special occasions. She also hopes to enact the Campus Queens Collective, which would establish monthly service opportunities for fellow campus queens to participate in alongside her. She also wants to work with TRiO Federal Trio Programs | U.S. Department of Education and First Year Experience to create the First-Generation Roadmap, a resource for first-generation students like herself to network, navigate college, and ultimately find their footing in post-secondary education.

Edwina hopes to proudly represent the FAMU CoPPS, IPH on the University Royal Court as the 119th Miss Florida A&M University. Congratulations to the beauty, boldness, and brilliance of our very own: Miss Edwina Fleuridor.
