Kisumu, Kenya, East Africa - FAMU CoPPS, IPH has three learners, Taneria Austin, Alexis Haynes, and Camille Reed, who traveled all day Saturday and Sunday to Kisumu, Kenya, East Africa with Dr. Scarlet Holcombe, President, Director with Medical Mission Teams, Inc. in Florida, a non-profit corporation, based in Tallahassee, FL, according to Jocelyn D. Spates, Pharm.D., BCPSc | Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and Professor and other roving reporters…

“Yayyy! Today was our very first day seeing patients at the clinic! We began the morning with scripture led by Pastor Edwin, and then welcomed the community as they came out to see us. It has truly been a privilege and an honor to put our medical skills to work in service of this wonderful, welcoming community. We saw 280 patients and the Pharmacy prescribed 858 medications. Wow! We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow! A special thank you to Mama Lorna our host, who has been nothing short of amazing. We are truly enjoying this incredible experience here in Kisumu.” With kind regards, Joseph Oluwo and team.
