Cannabidiol (CBD) for the Treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Study

Now recruiting participants for a research study on CBD and diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN).

 

LEARN HOW TO PARTICIPATE 

This study explores whether an over-the-counter CBD hemp extract may help relieve pain and discomfort from mild to moderate DPN. Eligible participants may receive the CBD tincture at no cost and earn up to $400 in Walmart gift cards.

DETAILS
Only patients with mild to moderate DPN are eligible. Those with severe heart, lung, or liver disease, and those using certain medications, may not qualify.

Volunteers will be screened to make sure that they are eligible for the study. This will include testing of liver function and may include a pregnancy test for women.

The CBD tincture will be supplied at no cost to the participant.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Adults with type 2 diabetes who have mild to moderate diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Participants must be English proficient. Pregnant women are not eligible.

WHY PARTICIPATE
The study will test the use of an over-the-counter hemp extract. It may help provide relief from DPN. Thus, you may benefit from the use of the extract.

Contribute to Research: The data generated will help doctors better understand if CBD or full-spectrum CBD helps in neuropathy.

INCENTIVE
Participants who complete the first treatment phase will receive a $150.00 gift card for Walmart. Participants who complete the second phase and complete the study will receive an additional Walmart gift card, this one for $250.00
