FAMU CoPPS, IPH Hosts Successful Spirit Week

January 16, 2023

The Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health (CoPPS, IPH) recently hosted a successful spirit week to welcome back its learners for the spring semester. The week-long event, held from January 9th through 14th, aimed to boost learner morale, display care for the learners, and encourage a successful semester.

As part of the event, learner organization leaders and members of the classes of 2023-2026 took part in a friendly, competitive, and knowledge-testing game called Pharmuly Feud, gave out encouraging quotes and treats to motivate learners, and held a networking mixer to emphasize the importance of establishing oneself in a new environment.

The event aimed to create an environment where learners could thrive and be nurtured as they grow into pharmacists. Learner leaders hoped to positively impact learners, increasing their success and confidence for the remaining academic year.

Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, SCA, and SNPHA were among the organizations involved in the event playing critical roles in ensuring its success.

The week-long event was deemed a success, and with events like the Spirit week, learners are better equipped to tackle whatever comes their way.
