Central Florida Pharmacy Practice Center (Tampa Bay/Orlando, Fl)

The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has a long and rich history in training pharmacy students in the Tampa Bay area.

Currently, there are 50 students matriculating in the Tampa Bay/Orlando area in APPE experiences. Although FAMU pharmacy practice faculty provide education to students assigned on general medicine and ambulatory care experiences in affiliated institutions, faculty are also providing state-of-the-art patient care at their respective facilities.

Students receive training in a variety of medical settings and gain invaluable experience in the application of didactic knowledge to real-life situations. Through participation in health fairs and community events, patient education and monitoring, volunteerism, inter-professional interactions, our students gain invaluable experience and become well-respected pharmacists.
