COLLEGE NEWS & EVENTS
Now recruiting participants for a research study on CBD and diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). This study explores whether an over-the-counter CBD hemp extract may help relieve pain and discomfort from mild to moderate DPN. Eligible participants may receive the CBD tincture at no cost and earn up to $400 in Walmart gift cards. Interested? Contact 850-431-4947.
Florida A&M University’s College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health(FAMU CoPPS, IPH) hosted renowned neuroscientist and FAMU alumna Dr. Deborah C. Mash for a lecture titled “Ibogaine and Noribogaine: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Potential as Addiction Medicines.” The event took place Thursday, January 22, from 11 a.m. to noon in New Pharmacy Building Room 102.

With quiet strength and unwavering devotion, Dr. Ebenezer T. Oriaku, professor in the FAMU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health (CoPPS, IPH), stands as a shining example of Excellence With Caring. A true son of FAMU and FAMU Athletics, his lifelong dedication to scholarship, mentorship, and the Rattler spirit has now been recognized with a plaque from University Advancement.
