Now recruiting participants for a research study on CBD and diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). This study explores whether an over-the-counter CBD hemp extract may help relieve pain and discomfort from mild to moderate DPN. Florida A&M University’s College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health(FAMU CoPPS, IPH) hosted renowned neuroscientist and FAMU alumna Dr. Deborah C. Mash for a lecture titled “Ibogaine and Noribogaine: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Potential as Addiction Medicines.” The event took place Thursday, January 22, from 11 a.m. to noon in New Pharmacy Building Room 102.
