BiosketchArinze N. Okere, PharmD, MS, MBA, is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health. Dr. Okere is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Board Certified Cardiology Pharmacist (BCCP). Dr. Okere's clinical specialty areas are in internal medicine and cardiology (both inpatient and ambulatory care). Dr. Okere has extensive experience developing and implementing the Transition of Care programs in a health care system. Dr. Okere has served as a principal investigator in funded multi-disciplinary research designed to improve quality measures. His research areas are health-outcomes /health care delivery, medication use and safety, and transition of care. Dr. Okere received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota and MBA from Ferris State University. He completed his pharmacy residency at Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota. Dr. Okere has developed and implemented new pharmacy services in the emergency department, neuroscience unit, and primary care setting. He is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).

Dr. Okere’s research interests are in the area of improving health outcomes in patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease. He also continues to research ways to improve transition of care in health care systems.
