Northeast Florida Pharmacy Practice Center (Jacksonville, Fl)

The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has a long and rich history in training pharmacy students in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Currently, there are 30 students matriculating in the Jacksonville area in APPE experiences. Although FAMU pharmacy practice faculty provide education to students assigned on general medicine and ambulatory care experiences in affiliated institutions, faculty are also providing state-of-the art patient care at their respective facilities.

Students receive training in a variety of medical settings and gain invaluable experience in application of didactic knowledge to real-life situations. Through participation in health fairs and community events, patient education and monitoring, volunteerism, inter-professional interactions, our students gain invaluable experience and become well-respected pharmacists.
