In late January, the FAMU Student Society of Healthcare System Pharmacists (SSHP) hosted a virtual event called “A Day in the Life of a Health System Pharmacist.” This student-focused event gave insight into the different opportunity’s pharmacist have upon graduation. Students heard from various CoPPS Alumni who were health-system pharmacists. It was an event that gave students physical access to a network of alumni willing to share their experiences. The guest speakers discussed what a day in their specialty looks like and what we as students can do now to prepare for their future.
FAMU SSHP President, Danielle Harvey, said “Overall, it was an amazing event that many students took a lot from. It is important for the College as a whole because it allowed our students to hear first-hand from pharmacists in all different career fields”.
