Dr. Spencer is a full professor and has the responsibility of implementing, measuring and monitoring quality procedures that include improving curricular, assessment, strategic planning and other administrative activities to ensure compliance with ACPE standards. He is the recent recipient of a $2.5 million 5 year R-25 grant from the National Institutes of Health grant that will enable the College of Pharmacy to develop an innovative Center for Research Education and Training Excellence (CREATE) to improve the quality, depth and breadth of research training for underrepresented groups. As a former professor, researcher at the National Cancer Institute and previous administrator, Dr. Spencer brings a wealth of experience to the College of Pharmacy at FAMU that will be useful in enabling the College to achieve its mission and goals.
