OVERVIEW
The Office of Continuing Education in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (COPPS) is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). The goal of the Office of Continuing Education is to provide general and consultant continuing education for pharmacists through a series of live continuing education programs in order to serve as a center of life-long learning.
The format of our educational programs is consistent with ongoing accreditation standards and includes lectures, case presentations and the incorporation of active learning strategies to augment the comprehension of educational material presented. Through continuous program assessment, new topics are selected to reflect the interests of practicing pharmacists and technicians.
The Office also offers certificate programs in medication therapy management and smoking cessation and is currently expanding to provide educational experiences through the use of asynchronous and synchronous technology currently available within the College.
The College is fully committed to providing pharmacists and technicians with high-quality educational experiences. In addition, through inter-professional collaboration, pharmacists and technicians are able to view their roles in relation to other health-professionals in today’s ever changing health care delivery system.
