Welcome to the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

Thank you for your interest in the many programs within the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (COPPS) and for visiting our website. Our goal as a College is to develop progressive leaders in pharmaceutical care, research and public health who enhance the quality of life for the people of Florida. In less than six decades since our founding, the College has emerged as a nationally recognized leader in pharmacy practice, research and public health. The successes that we have achieved have been built upon a solid foundation of attracting the most academically talented students from across the country; providing faculty who are on the cutting edge of research and practice in their respective disciplines; and new state-of-the-art facilities that provide the environment for outstanding intellectual growth and development.

As we look to the future, the College has been positioned for greater excellence. We will soon break ground on a brand new wing which will be added to the current building. In December 2008, we awarded the first Doctor of Public Health degree from any university in Florida; a new PharmD curriculum has been implemented in Fall 2008; and our culture of assessment prevails all of our operations. We are committed to the relentless pursuit of academic and research excellence.
