OFFICE OF GRADUATE PROGRAMS

The Office of Graduate Programs (OGP) designed to assist graduate students in admittance to, retention in, and graduation from the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (COPPS) at Florida A&M University. OGRRM is committed to increasing the enrollment and completion rates of underrepresented minorities in the pharmaceutical sciences and health professions disciplines by:

  • offering pre-application consultations to prospective students in an effort to answer questions about the application process;
  • assisting prospective students in identifying an appropriate graduate program area based on their academic goals and research interests;
  • advising students about degree requirements;
  • monitoring and documenting student’s academic progress;
  • providing verification and documentation of degree completion to the FAMU School of Graduate Studies and Research (SGSR) and Registrar’s Office;
  • working closely with SGSR to seek their assistance in interpreting University graduate policy; and
  • communicating the College and University graduate policies and procedures to COPPS faculty, staff, and students.

This office oversees the administration and compliance of rules, regulations and policy for masters and doctoral programs offered by the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students should contact this office for necessary information pertaining to their matriculation as a COPPS graduate student.
